GOOD NEWS

1. the mining stock that i own did not lose 50% in one day. it split. whew. big whew. boo google finance portfolio dingus for telling me i lost 50%.

2. my car's engine/tires did not cause a sudden loss of performance. the guys at the carwash gave the gas pedal a floormat wedgie which hampered acceleration and simulated a "something's wrong" condition. easily fixed ;) whew again!
