best wildlife sighting ever
i was cycling along canada (on the stretch where my cyclocomp went nuts last time, worked flawlessly this time, go figure) and across the street i saw what i thought was a rabbit, on account of the floppy, large, bunnylike ears. but as the unknown wildlife person-thing turned right to cross the street (in front of me! how rude!) it was immediately obvious that it was a cute, adorable, absolutely adorable (did i say that already?) big-eared fuzzy-bodied puppyfox. it flop-loped across the street, saw me, flop-loped into a frightened turn, continued across the road, and stumbled up the embankment.
i shouted some encouragement as he scrambled, tractionless, as only a puppy can do up a gravelly, slippery slope. and that was the end of that.
also, there was an unbelievably stinky truck. i actually had burning in my trachea. bleh.
plus, a guy on a phone that was not hands free! where's a cop when you need one?
